Medora road is a unique triangular shaped back land plot nestled between Brockwell Park and Brixton in South London. DFA have worked closely with the client, Artform Group and planning consultant Maddox Associates to arrive at a considered and elegant proposal for the site. A two part architectural approach has been developed with a detached town house to the front of the site which makes a contemporary nod towards the elegant Victorian proportions, details and craftsmanship showcased along the traditional terraced street. The town house is split into two spacious flats and a duplex unit which step down to the rear with large timber framed glazing facing onto garden fronted terraces. The town house features a curved brick corner, unlocking the side access to the central communal gardens which lead onto two unique eco homes which have been carefully integrated into the sloping landscape. The development features five new family homes, with wild planted green spaces and a focus on sustainable low carbon construction.
