This existing derelict warehouse sits in the heart of Shoreditch as a once operating mill.
Hidden down a quiet side street the key focus was to create a surprising internal space once inside the historic understated facade. With the addition of an extra level of accommodation on top of the existing building, the design was able to capture the incredible city skyline views of London, complimenting the loft style living of the internal fitout.
The open plan top level of the building was designed with a bespoke crafted kitchen island, sculpted out of polished concrete with a corian worktop, adjacent to the full height glazing which allows for a dazzling entertaining space. Adjacent to the glazing is a wall fully clad in ash, giving warmth to the space and naturally complementing the full height glazing adjacent.
These full height sliding glazed doors spill out onto the external terrace with built in wall heaters allowing the space to be used all year round, fully embracing the penthouse living lifestyle.
